I was playin' Santa Claus downtown on Christmas Eve, When a little girl of three or four climbed up on to my knee. I could tell she had a Christmas wish behind those eyes of blue, So I asked her: "What's your name an' what can Santa get for you?" She said: "My name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day. "I don't know who my Daddy is an Mummy's gone away. "All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home. "Does anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own." Well all that I could say was Santa'd do the best he could, An' I sat her down and told her: "Now remember to be good." She said: "I will", then walked away; turned an' waved goodbye, An' I'm glad she wasn't close enough to see ol' Santa cry. She said: "My name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day. "I don't know who my Daddy is an Mummy's gone away. "All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home. "Does anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own." Instrumental Break. Early Christmas mornin', I got up an' dialled the 'phone, An' made a few arrangements with the County Children's Home. They told me it would be all right, to pick her today: Now my little Christmas Carol won't ever have to say: "My name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day. "I don't know who my Daddy is an Mummy's gone away. "All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home. "Does anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own." Well, Merry Christmas, Carol, I love you: welcome home!

Twinkling lights A chill is in the air And carols everywhere Close your eyes it's almost here Candles and cards And favorite movie scenes The smell of evergreen As special as it's always been And I have a dream or two And maybe they will come true Setting our hopes on a big snow tonight We'll wake up to a world of white And it's gonna be a Christmas to remember Light up the fire, play some Nat King Cole Always sentimental and don't you know That it's gonna be a Christmas to remember I know it's true Time doesn't stand still Many things can change But we know some things never will The memories we share The songs we always sing The mystery of life The hopefulness this season brings And I have a dream or two And maybe they will come true Setting our hopes on a big snow tonight We'll wake up to a world of white And it's gonna be a Christmas to remember Light up the fire, play some Nat King Cole Always sentimental and don't you know That it's gonna be a Christmas to remember (remember) To remember (remember) And I have a dream or two And maybe they will come true Come true Setting our hopes on a big snow tonight We'll wake up to a world of white And it's gonna be a Christmas to remember Light up the fire, play some Nat King Cole Always sentimental and don't you know That it's gonna be a Christmas to remember (remember) To remember (remember) (Christmas to remember) I remember (Christmas to remember) Remember

Sail on the horizons gotta landfall rendezvous Captain steers a well-known course, he steers straight & true As he trims the sheets, he sings a song He learned on boats and bars Sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour 'neath the stars He's traveled through the doldrums, typhoons and hurricanes He's logged a million soggy miles with water on his brain But Christmas is the season better suited for dry land He'll tell some lies, meet some spies And dance barefoot in the sand The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour on the hook Caye con les, no work today, let's shell the ol' log book The waterfront is reveling, the season has begun The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour having fun. There's a party down at Le Selecte, music, rum and cheers Faces in the shadows, God, I haven't seen for years A mast & shroud fill with lights 'Neath the waning of the moon They're an airy celebration in the realm of King Neptune. The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour on the hook Caye con les, no work today, let's shell the ol' log book The waterfront is reveling, the season has begun The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour having fun. Jesus was a fisherman who walked upon the sea The North Pole is ocean's remote frozen balcony The continents keep drifting but the children sing and play 'Cause nothing really matters, after all it's Christmas day The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour on the hook. Vaye con les, no work today, he read it in a book The waterfront is reveling, the season has begun A sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour having fun A sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour having fun Havin' fun... havin' fun... havin' fun

As the snow is gently falling, hang the mistletoe you said A Christmas to remember lay ahead Don't forget to mail the packages and the cards there in the hall Remember last year's tree was just too small It's time again to pull out all the ornaments, the train The kitchen towels with Santa, the lights and candy cane Inside each box of treasure from the Christmas that's gone by And each one will remind us how they fly Please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All the Christmases gone by Please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All those Christmases gone by In the kitchen you make cookies, taste the sugar star you said The Christmas to remember lay ahead Should we put out all the reindeer or just Rudolph standing tall It was you who had to have him at the mall It's time again to pull out all the ornaments, the train The kitchen towels with Santa, the lights and candy cane Inside each box of treasure from the Christmas that's gone by And each one will remind us how they fly Please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All the Christmases gone by Please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All those Christmases gone by Oh please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All the Christmases gone by Please remember (please remember) Please remember (please remember) All the Christmases gone by

It's remarkable To think that a baby boy born in a stable No prestige, no privilege No social media or social status Political campaigns or private airplanes And yet, he turned B.C. into A.D. He flipped the world on its head He's the most famous name around the globe Inspired the most read book ever written He reconnected us to Heaven and, in turn, brought Heaven down to Earth And now he offers us redemption A fresh start, freedom So that we can hold our heads high And march through this life knowing that we are never alone That every woman and man, boy and girl To all of us who feel like we have nothing left, nothing to bring That we can know that God is smiling at us That he's loving us, that we are enough So light up that Christmas tree Stand under the mistletoe Surround yourself with the ones that you love the most And together, let's celebrat The greatest news this world has ever known

Haul out the holly Put up the tree before my spirit falls again Fill up the stocking I may be rushing things but deck the halls again now For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute Candles in the window, carols at the spinet Yes, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute I need a little Christmas now Oh, haul out the holly Put up the tree before my spirit falls again Fill up the stocking I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute Candles in the window, carols at the spinet Yes, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute It hasn't snowed a single flurry, but Santa dear we're in a hurry, so Climb down the chimney Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen Slice up the fruit cake It's time we've hung some tinsel on the evergreen bough For I've grown a little leaner, grown a little colder Grown a little sadder, grown a little older And I need a little angel sitting on my shoulder I need a little Christmas now Oh, climb down the chimney It's been a long time since I felt good neighborly Slice up the fruit cake It's time we've hung some tinsel on the evergreen bough For we need a little Christmas right this very minute Candles in the window, carols at the spinet Yes, we need a little Christmas right this very minute We need a little Christmas now We need a little Christmas now (We need a little Christmas, yes we need a little Christmas) We need a little Christmas now Hey

Pretty paper Pretty ribbons of blue. (Spoken) man oh man, I just love christmas It's just so darn neat. I kinda wish every day was christmas, Except christmas eve and the fourth of july. We wouldn't want to miss out on the fireworks, would we? When I was a kid, we used to get the christmas catalog from montgomery wards in chicago. Sometimes we'd get it as early as late august. It was the big book of wishes, hopes and desires. My three brothers and I were allotted twenty-five bucks a piece, including tax. So I'd make up a different christmas list every night From the first of september 'til the twenty-forth of december. Matter of fact, let me present you with my christmas credentials. When I was three years old, at least that's what my mother told me, I ate an entire ornament. I ate a big red one, I thought it was an apple. They kinda freaked out and was gonna take me to the hospital But they couldn't stop me from laughing so they just left me alone. So I guess I still got that christmas in me all the time, you know? One year, I got a wooden roly-poly for christmas, You know the things you knock down and they bounce right back up. They made 'em out of wood back then, that's how old I am. Nowadays, they make 'em out of plastic. My mom says "they just don't make 'em like that anymore". and I says, "no ma they don't". Then there was the year I came home only eave from the army, From germany to marry my highschool sweetheart on the day after christmas. My little brother billy, who was twelve at the time, Had just gotten his first job so he was able to afford to buy some christmas presents For his brothers and his mom and dad out of his own pocket. Billy had a job selling subscriptions for the chicago tribune. He told me this guy named rocky would pick him up in a station wagon, Him and some other boys, and he'd take 'em out to some strange neighborhood And drop 'em off and he gave them this whole spiel to give their potential customers. Supposedly their little brother had won a free trip to our nation's capital washington, d.c., But he couldn't go on the trip if his older brother wouldn't accompany him So if you would please buy a subscription to the chicago tribune then my little brother will be happy. Wow, what a shyster! some people'll do anything to get to the whitehouse. Then there was the year that my mom and dad gave me my first guitar. Ah man it was gorgeous, I still got the thing. It was a like aqua blue. kinda dark aqua blue with a cream colored heart. was a silvertone from montgomery wards. the model was called kentucky blue and man when I saw that sitting under the tre Ust couldn't wait. First year so I didn't know how to play it, I'd just stand in from of the mirror with a string around my neck with that guitar and I'd try to look like elvis. Then my brother dave taught me a couple of chords, Now I'm here in your living room singing and talking to you. It's funny how things work out. So-a whyn't you go find a stranger and extend your hand to 'em. If you see somebody looks like they ain't doin' quite as well as you, slip 'em a buck, 'Specially if they don't ask for spare change. Go buy your honey a cuckoo clock or a musical snow shaking water ball, That when you wind it up it plays, "I want you, I need you, I love ya with all my heart." 'Cause after all, hell man, it's christmas. Away in a manger no crib for a bed. The little lord jesus lay down his sweet head. The stars in the sky look down where he lay. The little lord jesus asleep on the (1-2) hay. (Spoken) merry christmas everybody. (Words finally transcribed by fancy nancy)

They're watching their kids Watch their kids Tearing open gifts Hoping they remember everything On everyone's list Someone says hey grandma and grandpa This ones for you With a sparkle in their eyes They get all excited Like young children do It's a big kids Christmas For a grown up boy and girl It's Jingle Bells and Silent Night And Joy To The world Deck the halls, O' Tanenbaum And Oh Holy Night It's a big kids Christmas tonight And all the world is right Grandpa says the blessing As grandma bows her head Dad now carves the turkey And every one gets fed Last night it was hard to sleep Like so many years ago So soon they're knapping on the couch With Apple pie still left to go It's a big kids Christmas It's a big kids Christmas And the worlds so right

Once upon a Christmas, far away in Bethlehem Mary, being great with her child Had no place to lie down So Joseph found a stable, in which Mary had her child Once upon a Christmas, was the birth of Jesus Christ Once upon a Christmas, in a manger far away A King was born, His palace was a manger filled with hay His royal robe was swaddling close, a halo was His crown Once upon a Christmas, far away in Bethlehem And all the world rejoiced because the King was born at last A saviour had been promised Now it had come to pass And the joyfull news that He was born Spread quickly, far and wide Once upon a Christmas, was the birth of Jesus Christ Once upon a Christmas, from the far east wise-men came With gold and myrrh and frank-in-cense To praise the new born King Shepherds left their flocks and came to see and worship Him Once upon a Christmas, far away in Bethlehem And all the world rejoiced because the King was born at last A saviour had been promised Now it had come to pass And the joyfull news that He was born Spread quickly, far and wide Once upon a Christmas, was the birth of Jesus Christ All the world rejoiced because the King was born at last A saviour had been promised Now it had come to pass And the joyfull news that He was born Spread quickly, far and wide Once upon a Christmas, was the birth of Jesus Christ All the world rejoiced because the King was born at last A saviour had been promised Now it had come to pass And the joyfull news that He was born Spread quickly, far and wide Once upon a Christmas, was the birth of Jesus Christ Once upon a Christmas, far away in Bethlehem
